This year's Chernobyl Remembrance Ceremony took place in Bishop Lucey Park on Tuesday. Children from our school have annually attended this event which is organised by the Greater Chernobyl Cause. This year the children in 2nd and 5th classes showed solidarity with the people of Ukraine by singing the Ukrainian National Anthem, which they learned in just 2 days! Their motivation and commitment was inspiring to all who witnessed the performance. They were so good that some children did not even need to read the words but knew them 'off by heart'.
Their wonderful achievement was featured on Evening Echo and made headlines on 96FM.
