Totem Poles in Third
16th Apr 2024
Last week third class learned all about Native American totem poles. In North America, totem poles are part of the cultures of many indigenous peoples of Alaska, British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. Totem poles serve many purposes beyond their beauty, and their meanings are as varied as the cultures that make them.
Children went about making their own totem poles for art. They used cardboard, paper, feathers, pipe cleaners and markers to create these fabulous sculptures.
