Today, our school was filled with excitement, laughter, and lots of team spirit as we celebrated our annual Sports Day!
6th Class took the lead in organising the event, and they did an amazing job! From setting up stations to helping younger students, their hard work made the day run smoothly and added a special touch to every activity.
Our Junior Infants to 2nd Class students had a blast trying out different games throughout the morning. There were smiles all around as they took part in the penalty shoot-out, played a lively game of musical chairs, and worked together in the colourful parachute games
Our 3rd to 6th Classes were busy with some more fast-paced challenges. They showed great teamwork and sportsmanship in basketball matches, a fun and refreshing water relay, and even tried their hand at table tennis.
To wrap up a fantastic day, we all gathered for the House Team relay race. Every house gave it their all, cheering teammates and racing to the finish. It was incredibly close, but in the end, House Chestnut took the victory and claimed this year's title!
Well done to everyone who took part, and a big thank you again to 6th Class for making the day so enjoyable. We're already looking forward to next year!
