John O' Sullivan visited our school recently and gave an informative presentation to 5th and 6th Classes on local history and geography. Some of the topics he touched on included the Goggins Hill tunnel, the West Cork Railway line, local waterways and water mills. John also displayed detailed maps of the local area at present and in the past. Some of the pupils were able to spot their houses on these maps which was very interesting!
