Mairéad Tyers is a past pupil of Goggins Hill School and will be attending the BAFTA Television Awards in London on Sunday May 12th as she has been nominated for Best Female Performance in a Comedy.
Mairéad began school in Goggins Hill in 2003 where she enjoyed Speech and Drama classes with Mrs. Íde McSweeney up until the age of 17.
Mairéad was one of the many children that Mrs.McSweeney prepared for LAMDA exams and Feis Maitiú during her years teaching Speech and Drama.
During her Leaving Cert year Mairéad was interested in training to become an actor so she auditioned for drama schools in London and completed a 3 year degree in Acting at RADA in 2020.
Since then she has worked in film, TV and theatre.
