The School Development Committee was formed in May 2013 primarily as a result of abolishment of the Minor Works Grant by the Department of Education and Skills.

Volunteers representing the Board of Management, Staff and Parents met for the first meeting in May.

The group currently consists of;Donal Donovan (Chairperson), Fiona Meehan (Secretary), Rosie Linham (Treasurer), Miriam Collins, Majella Corcoran, Richard Deasy, Adrienne Kelly, Mary Daly, Ian Brooks and Catríona Breen.

 Aims

The 2 main functions of the group are to identify and prioritise capital projects to be undertaken by the school and to fundraise for the completion of these works.

If you have any novel ways of raising money, ideas or feedback, please talk to a Committee member or email us on gogginshillschool@gmail.com

Last year the Cork City Marathon was one of the Development Committee's most successful fundraiser, bringing in over €5,000.
We are currently looking for volunteers to run this years marathon, half marathon or relay to raise funds for the school.
