-          Parents are welcome to join the Parents Association itself. The minutes from the most recent meeting are on the PA page of the school website. GARDA TALK ON INTERNET SAFETY AND CYBERBULLYING

Took place earlier this year - handouts from the talk are available below.

* 36% of all 9-16 year olds have a profile on a social media sharing platform. This rises from a third of 11-12 year olds to half of all 13-14 year olds.
This is a current and growing issue - the more aware we are of the issues facing our children in the online and real world, the more we will be able to help and support them.

If you are not able to attend the talk on Thursday, some notes including advice on handling the issues addressed can be found in the document attached at the bottom of this page

 1.   There are clear policies and procedures for dealing with complaints about teachers within the school. Any parent who has concerns about a teacher should first speak with them about the issue directly. If they feel dissatisfied with the response they then approach the principal. The Parents Association is not a forum where concerns around a teacher’s professional practice should be made public. It is between the individuals concerned and the principal.

I hope this makes things a little clearer on the procedural aspects of the Parents Association meetings.
