On the 24th of May 6th class hosted a cake sale to raise funds for Downs Syndrome Ireland and a new floor in the school hall. People from all classes donated delicious cakes. The cakes were reasonably priced at 10 - 50 cent! We also did a raflle at the cost of 10 cent per ticket .This proved a very big hit with the children, with prizes of biscuits, cakes and chocolates. Each class took turns to come to the hall to buy 2 cakes each and then when everyone had taken was finished, all the classes were allowed return during lunch break.
Thanks to everybody who supported our cake sale, either by donating cakes, or buying them, or both! It was a very enjoyable day for everyone and we raised €410,  giving half to the school and half to Downs Syndrome Ireland. Unfortunately, in the excitement we forgot to take pictures of the lovely spread of cakes.
