Spring Flowers

posted 28 Feb 2013, 07:12 by Jan Kiernan
Now that Spring has arrived we are looking forward to all of the Spring flowers appearing to brighten up the school. We were very lucky to have lots of Spring flowering bulbs kindly donated by John McNamara, Manager in Woodies DIY.
The 5th, 6th and Senior Infant classes had great fun planting some of the daffodil bulbs around the pitch at the back school.

The Senior Infants and 2nd classes also planted some daffodil, crocus and hyacinth bulbs in pots in their classrooms.

They have begun to sprout and we can wait until they grow flowers.

While we are waiting for our real daffodils to grow, Senior Infants and 2nd Class made these pretty one in Art.

We'll keep you updated and post a picture once the flowers bloom.
