We recently celebrated Catholic Schools' Week, an occassion to mark our Catholic ethos and heritage. On the last day of the week we had a Catholic themed no-uniform day, where the pupils dressed as their favourite Saint or biblical character. As it was St. Brigid's Day we had a short ceremony at assembly where 4th and 6th classes played the the tin whistle.
Here are some of the pupils in their costumes.
Senior Infants made these St. Brigid's Crosses with matchsticks.
Our teacher made this one from rushes like Saint Brigid used long ago.
